Honeycomb Boards with Edible Flowers

A bridal tea isn’t just about what’s on the plate—it’s about the moment. And this honeycomb board with edible flowers?

It’s a whole mood. Sweet, fragrant, and floral in all the right ways, it brings beauty and bounty together in a centerpiece that’s made to be admired and enjoyed.

Serve it with love and a good glass of sparkling tea, and watch the compliments roll in.

Serves: 6–8 as part of a spread
Time: 10–15 minutes (just assemble ‘n admire)

🌸 Ingredients:

  • 1 small piece of fresh honeycomb

  • Assorted cheeses (such as goat cheese, brie, or manchego)

  • A handful of fresh edible flowers (like pansies, violas, calendula, nasturtium, or lavender)

  • Fresh fruits: figs, berries, grapes, or pear slices

  • Crackers or crostini

  • Nuts (optional: almonds, pistachios, or candied pecans)

  • Fresh herbs for garnish (thyme, rosemary, or mint)

🧺 Instructions:

  1. Build the Base:
Start with a pretty wooden board, marble slab, or floral-patterned serving plate.

  2. Place the Honeycomb:
Position your honeycomb right in the center—this is your edible crown jewel, Sugar.

  3. Add Cheese & Fruit:
Arrange cheese slices, wedges, and chunks around the honeycomb. Nestle fresh fruit between the cheeses.

  4. Tuck in Crackers & Nuts:
Place crackers in small stacks and scatter some nuts around for texture and crunch.

  5. Finish with Florals:
Gently place edible flowers around the board and over the honeycomb. Use fresh herbs to add depth and fragrance.

💁🏾‍♀️ Lilly’s Bridal Tea Tip:

Choose flowers that match your table décor or the bride’s bouquet, and always make sure they’re organic and food-safe. A tiny pair of tongs and some mini cheese knives keep it all dainty and delicious.
