Southern Shrimp Cocktail with Cajun Cocktail Sauce

Ingredients:

✔ 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined (leave tails on for presentation!)
✔ 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
✔ 1 lemon, halved
✔ 4 cups water
✔ Ice bath (bowl of ice water, for chilling shrimp after cooking)

For the Cajun Cocktail Sauce:

✔ ½ cup ketchup
✔ 2 tbsp prepared horseradish (adjust to spice level!)
✔ 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
✔ 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
✔ ½ tsp hot sauce (like Tabasco or Crystal)
✔ ½ tsp smoked paprika (for that Southern depth!)
✔ ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat!)

Instructions:

1️⃣ In a pot, bring 4 cups of water, Old Bay seasoning, and half a lemon to a boil.
2️⃣ Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and curl. Immediately transfer them to an ice bath to stop cooking. Drain and pat dry.
3️⃣ Mix all cocktail sauce ingredients in a bowl. Adjust seasoning to taste.
4️⃣ Arrange shrimp on a platter with the sauce in a small bowl. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh parsley.
