A sweet sip of fall to warm your spirit

There’s something sacred about slow mornings — the quiet hum before the day begins, the steam rising from your favorite mug, and the gentle nudge of grace reminding you: you don’t have to rush to be held by God.

Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite fall comforts — the Pumpkin Spice Bloom Latte — a cozy, creamy blend that’s just as beautiful as it is soul-soothing. Whether you’re journaling, spending time in the Word, or simply needing a moment to breathe, this sip is here to wrap you in warmth and peace.

So go ahead, light that candle, grab your blanket, and let’s make a cup together.

🫖 Ingredients:

  • 1 Tea Bloom blooming tea ball (black or spiced base works beautifully — try “Spiced Apple Chai” or “Vanilla Dream” from Tea Bloom if you have it)

  • 1 cup hot water (just below boiling, about 200°F or 93°C)

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened oat milk (or almond/your fave milk)

  • 1–2 tsp pumpkin spice syrup (store-bought or homemade; see below!)

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Optional: maple syrup drizzle, whipped topping, cinnamon stick

🍯 Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup (Optional but wow)

Combine in a small saucepan:

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin purée

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (or brown sugar simple syrup)

  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 1/2 cup water
Simmer 5–7 minutes, strain if needed, store in fridge for 1 week.

🫖 How to Make It:

  1. Steep your blooming tea

    • Place blooming tea in a clear glass teapot or mug.

    • Pour hot water gently over it.

    • Let it steep and bloom for 3–5 minutes while you breathe, pray, or prep your frothy milk.

  2. Warm and froth the milk

    • Heat oat milk in a small saucepan or microwave-safe cup.

    • Add pumpkin spice syrup and a dash of cinnamon.

    • Froth with a handheld frother or whisk until creamy.

  3. Assemble your latte

    • Once the tea is fully bloomed, pour the spiced milk over the tea.

    • Top with optional whipped cream, maple drizzle, or cinnamon stick.

    • Snap a photo (trust, it's Pinterest-worthy), then sip slowly.

Suggested Scripture Pairing:

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)

🍂 Final Sip

As the leaves change and the air shifts, I pray this little cup reminds you to pause — not because you’re falling behind, but because you’re already where you’re meant to be.

Let it be a small act of peace, a little celebration of rest, and a sacred space where God meets you — in the stillness, in the steam, and in the quiet trust that He is near.

Until next time — keep sipping slow, staying rooted, and believing boldly. 💛
